Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
The short version: CameraPal collects nothing. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Everything happens on your Mac.
What we collect
Nothing. CameraPal does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts to create and no data to sign up with.
Your camera
CameraPal composites emoji and text reactions onto your camera video entirely on your Mac. That video is never recorded, saved, or uploaded by CameraPal — it only goes where you send it, into the video app you choose to point at the CameraPal camera (such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or OBS). CameraPal itself has no network connection.
Your settings
The reactions you configure — your emoji, positions, animations, and sizes — are stored only on your Mac so the app can remember them. They are never sent anywhere.
No tracking
CameraPal contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. It does not profile you or your usage.
The Mac App Store
CameraPal is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may collect its own information related to your download and, if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in macOS, may share aggregated, anonymized crash and usage reports with us through App Store Connect. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and it is not linked to your identity.
Children
CameraPal is safe for all ages because it collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. Because CameraPal collects no data, we expect changes to be rare.
